Ochre
Privacy Policy & Support
Last updated: 2 August 2026
Ochre is an app for artists to track their own work — time spent, progress photos, series, and costs. This page explains exactly what data the app handles and how to get help.
What Ochre collects
- Account details — your email address, so you can sign in and reach your work from more than one device. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only what that service provides (an email or a private relay address).
- Your artwork records — titles, media, sizes, dates, session times, notes, series, and any cost, pricing or sale figures you enter.
- Photos and voice notes you add to your artworks and sessions.
Ochre contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no third-party trackers. Your work is not sold, rented or shared for marketing, ever.
Where your data is stored
Data is kept on your device and, so that it survives reinstalling and appears on your other devices, in our database and file storage hosted by Supabase. Access is restricted by row-level security so an account can only ever read its own records.
AI feedback (optional)
If — and only if — you ask for AI feedback on a piece, the relevant artwork image and any notes you have written for it are sent to Anthropic to generate that feedback. This never happens automatically or in the background. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. If you never use the feature, nothing is ever sent.
Who else can see your data
Only the services needed to run the app:
- Supabase — hosting for your account, records and images.
- Apple / Google — only if you choose their sign-in option.
- Resend — delivers account emails such as sign-in confirmations and password resets.
- Anthropic — only when you request AI feedback, as described above.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual artworks in the app at any time; deletions sync to your other devices.
To delete your entire account and everything stored with it, use Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your account, artwork records, photos and voice notes. It cannot be undone, so consider exporting your data first (Settings → Export). You can also email the address below and we will delete your account within 30 days.
Keeping your own copy
Ochre can export everything you have entered as JSON or CSV, and your finished work as a PDF portfolio, so you are never locked in.
Children
Ochre is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above will be updated and significant changes will be noted in the app.
